It took me almost a month, but all the Thank Yous finally got mailed today!
Okay, so that's sort of a lie, but I don't have two guests' addresses, and until I track those down, two envelopes will have to live on my entry hall table. BUT! All the others went out: a total of 76 hand-made cards.
Why hand made?? That takes SO much longer! Why didn't you just buy a bunch of pretty pre-made ones? I saved $80 doing it this way, and I've got such an arts-and-crafts streak that I really didn't mind that much. :)

I went to Paper Source in San Jose, which is a Mecca for DIY, crafty people. I looked through their pre-made cards, and was blown away by how beautiful they all were... and how expensive. :( One of the shop assistants saw me looking at the price tags with a forlorn look on my face, and was sweet enough to lead me into the DIY section, point out some 100% recycled paper and envelopes, and suggest a particular stamp that was very similar to the design on the pre-made cards I'd been looking at. What an angel. :)
I'm totally going there for our holiday cards!
