Day before the wedding.

I'm working. Everyone else has time off, the family and friends have all come into town, and I feel like I'm not getting to visit with anyone!

I took one day off, and had a lovely lunch yesterday at the Wente winery with three of the out-of-towners, the fiancé, and my sister. Nice while it lasted, but now I'm right back to it! The rehearsal is tonight, and while there are breakfasts, brunches, lunches, and shopping trips all day today, I'm dutifully in my scrubs at the clinic.

Not that this wasn't my choice: I get paid for unused vacation days, so by working this week I'm ensuring I can pay for the honeymoon when we go next year. It just sucks in the meantime.

I'm hoping I actually get to spend some time with people this afternoon, evening, and tomorrow!
